She is like the greenstone from New Zealand that she wore on her wedding day. 

 

The greenstone is pounamu in Māori, and it is Tamara - beautiful, resilient and an implement of change.

Like Tamara, it lightens a room and can cut to the heart with wisdom and wit.

Like Tamara it has withstood a life of bumps and scrapes and still shines bright in our hearts,

and like Tamara it can build dreams new and wonderful.

The green represents the openness of her spirit, her caring for the environment and all defenseless living creatures.

Her green will softens many a murky blue or grey soul and bring beauty to the earth she is now one with.
